Our low-key Ranger- managed campsite offers one of the best views in Scotland! Located on Long Beach, facilities include a state of the art turf-roofed Natsol compost toilet, a fresh drinking water supply, a turf-roofed log cabin shelter, a dry stone communal barbecue, and several fire pits. It only costs £5 for the first person in a tent, and £4 for each person thereafter. No need to book, you can pop into the Foundation shop to pay or alternatively pay the Ranger in the morning (if you miss the Ranger there is an honesty box located at the entrance to the log cabin). We don't have showers, but if you speak to the bunkhouse warden on arrival you may be able to use the showers in the Foundation bunkhouse for a small charge (not available when large groups have block-booked the bunkhouse). Please let us know by contacting the Ranger Service if you are a large group planning to camp. Please note that the Long Beach area is a multi use site which is open to all and also used by non camping visitors and local residents; social events may take place in the area at the time of your stay, feel free to join in!

The campsite sell bundles of firewood for use in the fire pits. Bundles cost £4.50 each. Our firewood is purchased from the Knoydart Forest Trust, a charity who manage our community's woodlands; we do not make a profit on firewood bundles and provide them due to campers requests. Campers are welcome to collect drift wood for free from the beach.
